Ashes' mom, Autumn, had been living outside for some time. When she got pregnant she sought sanctuary in a good semaritan's garage and gave birth in a cat carrier there. Ashes is one of four kittens who survived. Two of her siblings weren't so fortunate. She is black all over except for the very tip of her tail which is white.
