Description: This handsome boy’s name is Bear, short for Teddy Bear. He is approximately 2 years old according to the veterinarian. Bear was found at our place of business about 2 months ago. A few of us started feeding him and we found him to be a gentle, sweet cat that was probably once someone’s pet.
We were able to rescue Bear a few days ago and took him to the veterinarian to be checked out, neutered and given all of his shots. Bear passed all the tests, with the exception of one. Sadly, Bear tested positive for FIV which, as you probably know, can only be transmitted to other cats and is in no way harmful to humans.
According to the veterinarian, Bear can live a normal healthy life if given the chance. He must be an indoor cat and can never go outside. He also cannot be adopted by a family who has cats that have tested negative for FIV.
Bear is not an aggressive cat, he is a sweet boy who would love to love you and be a part of your family. If you are someone who is looking to adopt a cat into your home as a single cat family; or if you currently have a cat that has tested positive for FIV and you are looking for a friend for your pet, please consider adopting this beautiful boy. He had a tough break in his young life and deserves a chance to live a happy and safe life with someone who will give him a forever home.
If you will open your hearts and home to Bear, I know you will be so glad that you did and he will love you more than you can imagine.
