Description: Save the Cats got a call about some young kittens that were living in a busness park. When we went to look for the kittens they were nowhere to be found. Instead we found Skipper and some other young adult cats.
Skipper wasn't doing well. She had a broken front leg that had been rubbed raw and was infected. She was getting bullied by the other cats. They wouldn't allow her to eat until they had their fill. You could tell she was used to this treatment as she'd back off from the food as soon as another cat would come to eat.
When we talked to one of the people who had been feeding the cats they told us that Skipper had been out there with a broken leg since she was a young kitten. We wish someone had called us then as it would have saved her a year or more of pain and infection. Sadly, there was nothing that could be done to fix her leg and it needed to be amputated. She has adapted very well and is able to run and jump like any other cat.
She's a sweet kitty who likes attention and looks forward to being pet. Start petting her and the purr motor starts up soon after. She likes playing with her toys and enjoys batting around her catnip mice.
Skipper has tested negative for feline AIDS and Leukemia and has been spayed and vaccinated.
