Guinevere was found near an apartment complex in Bristol. She had an eye infection when she was first spotted outside but it took 4 weeks for the man who saw her to finally bring her in. By that time the eye was damaged and she had a raging infection. As soon as STC got her we took her to the ophthalmologist at CARES. Even though she only weighed a little over 1 1/2 lbs. the vet said they recommended she have the eye removed as soon as possible. We got her on antibiotics right away and had the surgery performed a few days later. She seems to be feeling better than she had been and although she's still taking it easy is starting to play with her toys. She snuggles right in with her foster mom when she's held and purrs when she's held.
Guinevere has tested negative for feline AIDS and Leukemia and will start receiving vaccines once we get the go ahead from the vet.
