Chris was first spotted outside on Christmas night. It was obvious that he had a severe injury to his right eye. Unfortunately he was on the far side of a chain link fence and couldn't be reached. He disappeared for a few weeks and it was feared that he had died from his injury. When he finally showed up again the swelling, that had been so alarming, had reduced but the eye was very damaged. Chris must have decided that he had enough of the 'great outdoors' because the one night he walked right up to his rescuer and followed him into his apartment.
STC took Chris to see the ophthalmologist at VSEC who recommended the eye be removed. He was taken to our vet where the surgery was performed. He has recovered from his surgery and his stitches have been removed. Now he's ready to find a new home where his people will keep him inside and safe...being spoiled too would be nice.
Chris is a very friendly cat. He has gone through his trials and tribulations with patience and good humor.
He has tested negative for feline AIDS and Leukemia, been neutered and vaccinated.
