Description: Tanner's people put him in a cardboard box, taped it closed and left him in an alley in Philadelphia. We don't know if they intended for him to be found or not. Tanner was lucky though. They left him behind the home of a man who has rescued many stray cats. He became suspicious when the box showed up, opened it, found Tanner, and took him in.
We don't know why they didn't want Tanner. He's a very friendly, people oriented kitty. We even had trouble getting a good picture of him because everytime we tried getting one, he walked toward the person with the camera hoping for a scratch behind the ear.
He has tested negative for feline AIDS and Leukemia and has been vaccinated and neutered.
If you are interested in adopting Tanner you can fill out an application online or you can visit Tanner at our adoption center at the Newtown Petsmart.
